October, backpacking in
the Sipsey Wilderness. Trekked to the Eye of the Needle.
November, completed the
Painting merit badge. Justin Huff, ASM, was counselor. Painted parts of
the inside of the Scout Hut.
November 21-22, went to
Tannehill State park for Trade Days. Camped Saturday night.
December, Gourmet
campout. Was scheduled for Little Mountain, but had torrential
rainstorms. Instead, we "camped" at the Scout Hut, cooked food
from around the world, and watched a couple of movies.

Overnight camping in February. Huge rainstorm Saturday night, and we all stayed dry.

Our one-day-a-year fundraiser. Sold over 600 chicken dinners in four hours.
OA Conclave
Troop 45 members who are also in the Order of the Arrow went to Camp V-Bar in Perkinston, Mississippi for a weekend of fellowship.
Luxapalila Park
Camping in April, two nights along the Tombigbee River.
Spring Camporee
Camped in campsite #10, Sioux campsite at Camp Seminole during May. This was a backpacking campout for us.
Sipsey Wilderness
Backpacked to the Eye of the Needle in May, camped Saturday night. Waterfalls, rock formations, and water purification rituals.
Went First Session, had a blast. Six days at Camp Seminole. Thomas McBroom took home trophy for "Best Shot In Camp" from the Rifle Range.
Kentucky Trip
Six great days. Mammoth Cave, Corvette Museum, church in Bowling Green, canoeing 10 miles down the Green River, geocaching, camping at Mammoth Cave National Park, and really cool showers.
Geyser Falls
Our August "fun trip". One day at the water park, just for fun.
Went to Camp Seminole Saturday morning, set up camp, had lunch, spent the afternoon honing our GPS skills and reorganizing the troop trailer, had a big dinner Saturday night, followed by a troop campfire. Sunday morning we had breakfast, packed up camp, had our chapel service, and headed for home.

Spring Camporee
Three patrols (Panthers, Golden Eagles, and Flaming Arrows) attend Camporee at Amory Horse Park April 29-29. Took home eight ribbons, including First Place Cornbread Cookoff (Flaming Arrows), Third Place Cornbread Cookoff (Panthers), Third Place Chili Cookoff (Flaming Arrows), First Place Uniform Inspection (Flaming Arrows), Second Place Campsite Inspection, First Place Archery (Panthers), Third Place Tomahawk Throw (Panthers), and Second Place Horseshoes (Flaming Arrows).
Troop 45 send 35 scouts and adults to Columbus Air Force Base, wins five ribbons, and had a ton of fun.

Tim Read was part of the Pushmataha Council Expedition.
Best Overall Troop, three blue ribbons, one red ribbon, and a new Lodge BSA Dutch Oven. Duck calls by day, trains by night, and bagpipes at dawn.
