|Mr. Tom Mauldin|
|Scoutmaster, 1967 - 1973|
|Mr. Mauldin is from Baldwyn, Mississippi, and reached the rank of Life Scout in his troop. He is a Navy veteran of WWII, having enlisted at the age of only 17. After his military service, he attend Delta State University, Union University (Jackson, TN), Auburn University, and then graduated with an agricultural degree from Miss. State University. He worked as a Soil Scientist in the Soil Conservation Service of the USDA, and retired in 1983.|
|Mr. Mauldin became Scoutmaster quite unexpectedly. One of his sons came home from troop meeting one night and announced that they no longer had a Scoutmaster, and asked Dad if he could help them find one. Mr. Mauldin stepped into the role, and served as the Scoutmaster for the next seven years.|
Mr. Mauldin is married to Ellen Mauldin, who is retired from the MSU library. They have three sons, Steve, David, and Mark. All three are Eagle Scouts and all three earned God And Country, and they also have a daughter, Mary. Steve is now Scoutmaster of a troop in Oxford, Miss., Yocona Council.
